Mutant Goatkin and wild dogs roamed the area. This may not be the walk in the park either group was expecting.

Each group moved up.
Mark shoots and kills the mutant. He waves Ash and Murs forward (using 2 of his three actions). This would be a test of their nerves and training. They shoot and miss. The others moved up behind Mark. The goatkin and wild dogs reacted to their presence.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the field Gordon killed a dog, Duncan and Custer missed. Billy kills the mutant. Ranjit moved up.
Both groups knew knew others were in the area. And very close.

Ranjit was pleased that the newbies didn't panic too much. They were obviously unnerved but held their ground.
He was concerned by the sound of gunfire so close. They needed to move quickly.

Mark sends Jason and Rufus forward. They shoot at the dogs and miss. It's unnerving facing hostiles the first time. Mark shot one dog. Rowan moved up. Ash shoots a second mutant and Murs a second dog. The route seemed clear.

Duncan killed a second mutant and Billy the last dog.

The way clear, Ranjit runs forward. Everyone moves forward.

The MLB's moved up
And some take cover facing the LDI.

Likewise, the LDI take cover facing the MLB's

Ranjit moves and has a route round the hedge to the vehicle. He runs to it.

Ash throws a grenade. Silence! Murs follows suit. Silence! What! Two duds?

Mark runs round the vehicle and shoots at Ranjit. It hits the bag before lodging in his armour. He swings the satchel he found in the car and knocks Mark's weapon out of his hand.
Without a second thought, Ranjit runs through the gap in the hedge and joins the LDI. They retreat cautiously.

Mark realises the bag is lost. He calls a halt.
Disappointing for him but he knows the crew will get better. And no one ran when faced with danger.

Ranjit thinks himself very fortunate to be alive. He realised the stupidity of his actions, but it paid off.
The crew operated fairly well but it's a long road until they are proficient.

I liked the flow of the game. Also, that the groups both held their fire, not feeling threatened.

The funny part was the grenades not going off. Perhaps they were duds or they hadn't pulled the pins!

I'm looking forward to the next game.

Thanks' for dropping by
