Zona Alfa. The Lake Dale Irregulars

Hi! Our hardy bunch, ready to tackle the zone. Having spare bodies from the Stargrave crew box and a couple of free sprues (WW2 German, & British 8th army) from the magazines, I thought I'd try a little Zona Alfa. Well, I do have alsorts of monsters and anomalies with the Frostgrave, Sell Swords & Spell Slingers and Five Leagues from the Borderlands figures. The team have 'borrowed' some weapons and equipment from a collector of WW2 memorabilia. He even had a rifle range where he could live fire his weapons. Luckily, he absconded  to a safer place until he could return in safety. Meet the team the leader is putting together to protect their families, and earn some readies in case things get worse. The Lake Dale Zone

The Lake Dale is an amalgamation of The Lake District and The Yorkshire Dales. The government had declared an emergency and had evacuated and quarantined an area of roughly 60sq miles. The zone literally butts up to the hills and high moors surrounding the Lake Dale area. I am creating two teams which will run separately and, maybe, together or against each other. The first are The Lake Dale Irregulars. The figures are Stargrave Crew [Northstar Miniatures] and part from the 8th army sprue [Warlord Games ] which came free with a wargame magazine. The premise for the style I am adopting for these is a bunch of hardy citizens from the Lake Dales who wish to make their old district habitable enabling them to return home. They have scoured the area and found a private museum and weapons range belonging to a WW2 enthusiast, who just happens to have absconded when the zone came too close to his home.  Our gallant heroes have borrowed some weaponry from this armoury.
